The Portico Gallery will be hosting a Caribbean food evening for the whole community as part of West Norwood & Tulse Hill Food Week, 6-10pm on Sunday 7th February 2016.
“Famous for its community spirit’, is how Time Out recently described West Norwood. Come and experience this first hand at a special evening where West Norwood’s unique Portico Gallery joins together with Southside Rehabilitation Association (SRA), bringing you an affordable Caribbean feast for all to enjoy.
Caribbean Food Night
Join us for a delicious and fun evening of food, music and entertainment plus a chance to sample a full range of Caribbean cuisine at the Portico Gallery. The food will be prepared by Joanna Soto Correa, SRA’s fabulous, local, professional chef. Her buffet style menu will allow you to savour a whole range of Caribbean dishes. So if you think Caribbean food is just jerk chicken, here is your chance to sample a whole lot more….though of course there will be jerk chicken too!

The Portico Gallery and West Norwood….
Nestled in the midst of progressively vibrant West Norwood, The Portico Gallery has become the epicentre of local arts and culture. Here, the ethos of community spirit and inclusion is alive in all its forms. From an array of classes, to gentle Tea Dances, through to full-on dance, music and DJ events – one thing is certain, the local and genuinely welcoming stance of Portico is a wonderful entity, just waiting to be tapped into. Our West Norwood Caribbean Feast is no exception, so come savour the delights of The Portico Gallery.
Our hosts – chef Joanna Soto Correa brings her culinary expertise into the Portico Gallery for a full Caribbean experience and John Price, is as quirky, welcoming and community-spirited as the Portico Gallery itself.
