Folk Of The Wood’s Pirate Ceilidh is on Friday 17th November 2017, 7pm at SE27’s Portico Gallery Ceilidh Tree (“London’s finest ceilidh band” – Evening Standard) will be dropping anchor with a rollicking set of sea themed dances and pirate caller to show you the moves! Expect foot stomping fiddles, majestic melodeon, dances such as The Whirlpool, Captain’s Choice, Man The Lifeboats and The Sea Serpent! We’ll also have some nautical surprises – who knows, maybe an appearance from an animatronic shark or two! PLUS we’ve got very special guest sea shanty pocket choir Shotley Crue showcasing rousing songs from the golden age of sail. Prize for best dressed wenches and cap’ns! Hot food by Beamish & McGlue, plus grog, local ale and scrumpy to keep you reeling!
