The Portico Gallery’s third Music Hall & Illusion Emporium comes to you Sunday 14th September, an exciting evening of music, comedy and magic taking over the original music hall stage. West End singers, Edinburgh comedians, and superb actors and musicians bring you songs from 1918 and before in a light-hearted and commemorative Music Hall salute to the World War 1 soldiers and volunteers falling in and following the call to victory. Sing along with songs like ‘Pack Up Your Troubles’, ‘Goodbyeee’, ‘I Wonder Who’s Kissing Her Now’, and many more.
Doors open at 7pm for drinks and the vintage Victrola stylings of Auntie Rose Bartlett, with a performance from 7.30 to 10pm – including two intervals for refreshments and fashionable fun. Tickets are available through the gallery or on the website via PayPal, £12.50/9 concession in advance, £15 on the door, phone 8761 7612 for further information.
The Music Hall & Illusion Emporium is the last event in the first ever Portico Festival of the Arts! Check the website for more details and events.
