Ceilidh Tree and caller Chris Faulkner will be performing a special extended set of dancing so a great chance to jig, polka, reel and poussette away those Winter blues for good!
Specifically of a gospel, New-Orleans and ragtime inspired flavour, our special guest this month is bluesman extraordinaire Simon Prager (“Distinctive and engaging… beautifully crafted guitar work” – Blues Matters)…and with the help of harmonica maestro “Doc” Stenson we’ll be providing the perfect mid-ceilidh entertainment. With support from The Green Ravens, there’ll also be a bar with whiskey, scrumpy, wine and Brixton Brewery ale on sale along plus tasty home-prepared food courtesy of Beamish & McGlue.
It’s important to book early as we’ve had to sadly turn away so many for the last few Ceilidhs – so please do book soon as you can if you’re hoping to come – and it’s cheaper too! Earlybird tickets are available until Saturday 7th Feb – £8 adults, £6 concessions and £5 <18s, booked via www.folkofthewood.co.uk
Thereafter it will be £9 / £6 and £5 advance and more on the door (if available).
