Born in 1967 in Warsaw, Agnieszka studied graphic design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Warsaw, finishing with an MA degree in 1992.
Agnieszka's academic years were followed by a decade (1997-2007) of working as an art director at Czytelnik, one of the most respected Polish publishing houses, during which time she created over 200 book covers.

My intention has always been to express “character” of things and feelings in colour.

From the age of ten I was studying sculpture, composition, iconoclastic painting and history of art.

My further education was in Human Physiology, which afforded deeper understanding of anatomy. I am still captivated by the intensity of scientific drawings.

The painting called, Seeing the gap she pushed through, is from a unique group of work looking at issues around the death of my mother.  After her death I realised just how much of a brick wall she had around her emotions and how difficult it was to get through to her.  I felt I also had built a wall around me.  So these paintings were exploring what happens when you try to break through that wall.  Stories within my paintings often have parts of objects or faces laced into them, hopefully creating a curiosity and allowing the viewer to bring their own response.

Carole trained at Reigate School of Art, famed for its calligraphy course one of the few remaining at the time. She now provides original calligraphy, illumination and heraldary for advertising and publishing as well as special commissions.

Caroline Maceys work concerns itself with human patterns of behavior, her erotic prints capture female sexuality. Marry this with her drawing skills and the narrative of greek myths to produce thoughtful and evocative images. Caroline has worked with lino for many years and builds up the different tones to create a particularly intricate style. Reduction technique means  the blocks are destroyed in the process, so these prints are a one off edition.

Cath has been taking photos seriously for about 5 years and is studying Digital Photography part time at Greenwich Community College. Photography is her way of reclaiming her personal space and independence, after a career in nursing and bringing up a creative family.

British anthropologist Mary Douglas' definition of dirt as 'matter out of place' has led me to engage into the conflict, attitudes and responses between the usual associations of discarded matter and it's re-valued and elevated context. I am interested in The Uncanny, the paradoxical 'push and pull' reaction, what it is in human nature that draws us in and at the same time repels us and how this response can be manipulated through re-contextualisation.
