The new autumn term starts on Thursday September 20 at 6.30pm.
The two six week courses for the autumn are: September 20, 27, October 4, 11, 18 and November 1 then the next course November 8, 15, 22, 29, December 4 and finishes December 13 in time for Emma to fire in time for Christmas.
Each class is from 6.30 to 9.00 in the evening.
One course costs £145, book for two and the cost is £140 per course (saving £10).
The cost includes standard clays, glazes and firing.
The classes are run by Emma Fenelon. Since qualifying with a 1st class honours degree from Camberwell, Emma has been collecting awards, commissions and not a little controversy as one of the most innovative ceramicists around today. The gallery has two Raku kilns and a large standard kiln as well as plenty of studio space (both indoors and out) and storage (work must be dried thoroughly before biscuit firing and then glazed and either Raku or standard fired).
Pottery for everyone from complete beginners to those who already have some experience with clay. Beginners will get a grounding in the basic skills and methods of making and decorating in clay. People who already have some experience will receive the stimulus and help they require to develop their skills and projects. Different clays and different techniques will be explored and experimented with.
